How many recent hight school graduates can answer these simple American history questions:
- Why can Eli Whitney be considered one of the people who caused the Civil War?
- Which group of people got rich during the California gold rush?
- What was the main goal of the America First Committee in the early 1940s? Which famous person served as their spokesman?
- What was the Marshall Plan? Why was it implemented?
- What is a "red scare"?
- Why did Richard Nixon resign the presidency?
